Who we are
Jompancing (jompancing.my) is a Malaysia fishing community platform. We help anglers share spots, join activities, and connect on gear listings.
Information we collect
Account info (name, email, profile photo via Google or email sign-in), content you post (spots, photos, forum posts, comments, marketplace listings, activities), pond listing requests you submit, and device coordinates when you choose a GPS feature. We use coordinates to sort nearby spots or help place a spot pin, and send them to Google or OpenStreetMap for reverse geocoding. A location is public only if you choose to publish a spot with that pin. Business contact details in pond requests stay private and are used to verify and respond to the request.
How we use it
To run the service: show your posts to other users, keep you signed in, improve maps and search, verify pond listing requests, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We use Supabase (database & auth), Vercel (hosting and, when enabled, cookie-free Web Analytics), and Google (Maps & address search). Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregated page-visit insights such as pages viewed, referrers, general location, and device type; we use these to improve Jompancing and do not use them to identify your account. WhatsApp contact for marketplace and activities happens off-platform between users.
Your choices
You can delete spots you own, sign out anytime, or contact us to request account deletion. Guest (anonymous) spot posts still create a temporary auth session to upload photos.
